Physical Therapist

Keith Merriman was born in Washington D.C. and raised in southern Maryland. He attended Florida State University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology in 2017. Upon graduation, he gained his ACSM certified personal trainer certification and trained older adults, focusing on increasing lifespan and quality of life.

In 2018, he continued his education at Florida Gulf Coast University, where he gained his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. During his graduate program, he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and helped local golfers reach their performance goals. Additionally, he completed extensive research on balance during his time at Florida Gulf Coast University.

Since graduating from physical therapy school, Keith has accumulated many years of clinical experience treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries. sport-related injuries, and post-concussion patients. He utilizes his prior research experience in a clinical setting to help patients manage balance deficits and vestibular conditions. He has also earned his Dry Needling Level 1 certification.

In his free time, Keith stays active with weightlifting, soccer, and running. Keith believes in treating each individual patient as a whole, instead of focusing on a single body part. He wants his patients to not only return to where they were pre-injury, but live a healthier, injury-free life moving forward.
